What are the Options for Printing Digital Photos?
Following a photoshoot, I filter and edit the images into a comprehensive collection that reflects the occasion. As with most professional photographers, these are supplied to my customers in a digital format, both on a private gallery on my website and in a Dropbox folder.
Holding these memories on the phone or computer is lovely, however, there is often a selection of special images that warrant a place on the wall. If you want printed photographs or canvases, what are the options?
Professional Photograph Printing Options
There are three main options for photograph printing:
- Allow me to print your chosen images
- Send the chosen images to a High Street specialist
- Use an online photo printing service
Allow me to Print your Chosen Images
My studio is equipped to produce high-definition images on premium photographic paper, so you can display your favourite memories with pride. My computer is calibrated to produce optimum prints in their true colours.
I can print your images in a wide range of sizes and am happy to advise on finishes and cropping if required. I present the photos in a standard-sized, cream-white mounts, which will fit shop bought or custom-made frames. I can also supply frames in a variety of colours and styles, so your photos are ready to hang.
Alternatively, the images can be reproduced on hand-stretched, quality canvases. Whether photographic paper or canvas, I sign the finished image as a mark of authenticity.
I am invested in making your images look fabulous, so using my print services will guarantee that you receive top-quality photographs. My prices are competitive with High Street print companies and I have an eye for professional presentation.
There is no minimum or maximum print order, just select the images that you wish to keep. I can also create a collection of prints within a single frame, for a beautiful reflection of the day. These are popular gifts for family and friendship groups.
Send the Chosen Images to a High Street Specialist
Specialist print companies, including Snappy Snaps, can reproduce the images at a similar price to my print services. They offer a greater range of products, so you could have your pictures printed on a mug or cushion if you desire. They also stock a range of frames for images printed on photographic paper.
With a dedicated print team, they can offer an express service, so you can allow you to collect your photos the next, or even the same, day. If speed is a priority, this is useful.
Use an Online Photo Printing Service
The cheaper option is to find an online printing company for your photographs. Whilst lower cost, there is minimal quality assurance with this option. They are unlikely to care if the print finish is poor, there is a disparity in colour or if part of the image has been cut off. These services are fine for your holiday snaps, however, they are not recommended for your professional photoshoot images.
